How to find time to exercise

Do you ever wonder how to find time to exercise?

Life can get busy. Between working, socializing, taking care of yourself, dating, and managing life, it can be a huge challenge to find time to exercise. However, if it’s important to you, you can easily make it part of your daily routine. You can even make it part of socializing.

Rebuilding a positive relationship to exercise will take time

Building healthy habits starts with your mindset. A positive mindset about exercising is vitally important. Exercise is beneficial for your entire body, mind, and spirit. If you want more energy, you have to expend energy. If you want to sleep better, have better concentration, and be more resilient to stress, exercise is guaranteed to help.

If you haven’t exercised regularly in a while, you may discount the importance of exercising.

If you have a history of eating disorders or have a negative relationship with exercise, it’s going to require professional help to heal.

Actionable Steps

1

Make a Schedule to Find Time to Exercise

You don’t find time, you make time. Schedule your workout just like you would an appointment.

2

The Early Bird Gets the Worm

Exercise first thing in the morning before you get busy. However, there is no wrong or right time to workout. Find what works for you.

3

Break It Down

If you can’t do 30 minutes of exercise at once, break it into 10 minute chunks.

4

Build Good Habits

Make being active a lifestyle. Exercise doesn’t have to be grueling and tortuous. Go on family walks, have a dance party, or do a quick partner workout with your spouse. You can also find ways to work out while traveling.

5

Start With a Single Step

Start small and build from there. Find a form of exercise you love and look forward to doing.
