Hi, I’m Shannon! I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Culinary Coach, and Personal Trainer. After dedicating over 8 years to the corporate wellness world, I began my own nutrition practice. Chef Shannon Nutrition focuses on plant-based nutrition and culinary coaching. My passion for culinary nutrition grew when I worked as a cooking instructor for a culinary entertainment company. After several years as an instructor and event coordinator, I moved into the role of Director of Culinary Entertainment where I developed all the recipes, menus, and instructor trainings. My dietetic’s expertise helped the company expand into allergy-friendly and health conscious menus to suit all clients.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Exercise & Sport Science and post-baccalaureate in Dietetics. I completed my dietetic internship with a concentration in wellness and grew my passion for culinary and community nutrition. My certifications include Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Licensed Dietitian in the state of Maryland. In addition, I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, and Certified TRX Instructor.
In my free time, you can find me enjoying the great outdoors hiking, running, and soaking up the sun. I also enjoy self-care days filled with yoga, recipe testing, and hanging out at local coffee shops. However, you won’t find me in the same spot for too long! I’m a go-getter who desires to explore every corner of the world.
