About the Author

Hey, I’m Michael Power! I left the United States in 2012 and have lived as an expatriate ever since. A former high school literature teacher by trade, I never pass up the opportunity to share what I’ve learned with anyone hoping to see the world.

I spent four years teaching in South Korea and traveling around Asia before spending the last two years as a full-time traveler. Now with 20 countries explored, I have no signs of stopping. I’ve enjoyed countless amazing experiences, dozens of new friends, and the chance to build a career working remotely as a writer and editor.

I’ve scuba dived with sea turtles in Thailand, climbed vine-covered canyons in Guadalajara, and motorbiked through snarling traffic from one end of Seoul to the other. I recommend two out of three of these experiences. My top recommended destination? Taipei – very underrated.

Hope to see you on the road someday!

When it comes to bloody crowns and shocking betrayals, Red Queen succeeds wildly in creating a page-turning experience.

Green’s 2005 novel has a certain vigor not often seen in a debut novel. The autobiographical quality makes this one a particular fan favorite.

Social class, murder, gang warfare – life isn’t easy for our 14-year-old protagonist.
