Domestic Violence, Rape, and Assault

National Domestic Violence Hotline

This hotline operates around the clock, seven-days-a-week. It is confidential and free of cost. It provides lifesaving tools and support to victims of domestic violence, so they can be safe and free of violence.

RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. It carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.

National Sexual Assault Hotline

This hotline provides sexual assault victims with confidential support from trained sexual assault specialists. It helps victims connect with their local health facilities, so they can receive support and medical and psychological services like sexual assault forensic exams, counseling, etc. It also provides victims with someone to talk to and resources that can aid in the healing process.

Family Violence Prevention Center

The Family Violence Prevention Services provides emergency and residential/non-residential shelters, transitional housing, and counseling for adults, children, families. It also offers legal services. The goal of this program is to help victims and their families heal from the pain and long-term effects of domestic violence.

This organization prevents the sexual abuse of children by encouraging adults, families, and communities to take action to prevent children from being harmed. Their goal is to provide support, information, and resources to keep children safe and create healthier communities.

Adult Protective Services and Elder Abuse Hotline

This organization provides assistance to vulnerable and elder adults (60 years and older with disabilities) that are being abused, neglected, and/or exploited. It also seeks to prevent the maltreatment of the elderly by providing information on elder abuse to the public.

National Child Abuse Hotline

This organization is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. Professional crisis counselors, along with interpreters, are available 24/7, 7-days-a-week. It offers assistance to children who are being abused, and those who are in danger of being abused. This hotline also provides crisis intervention, information, and referrals.

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Cyber Tipline

National Center for Missing and Exploited Cyber Tipline helps the public and electronic service providers report the suspected online enticement of children for sexual acts, extra-familial child sexual molestation, child pornography, child sex tourism, child sex trafficking, unsolicited obscene materials sent to a child, misleading domain names, and any misleading words or digital images on the internet.


Marijuana Anonymous

Marijuana Anonymous is a group of people who share their experiences, strength, and hopes with each other to help recover from marijuana addictions. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using marijuana. There are no dues or fees for membership.

Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Helpline

SAMHSA is a confidential, free, 24-hour-a-day, 365-days-a-year information service, available in both English and Spanish, for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders. This helpline also provides referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups, and community-based organizations.

Families Anonymous is a 12-step support group for the families and friends of drug and/or alcohol addicts. This organization provides these individuals with the tools they need to help their addicted loved ones to achieve sobriety.

Drug Rehab Cocaine Hotline

This hotline provides support for cocaine abusers and addicts and their loved ones. It is available 24/7, 7-days-a-week, and can provide individuals with information about cocaine side-effects and treatment options.

National Drug Helpline

The National Drug Helpline provides 24/7 drug and alcohol help to people who are struggling with drug addictions. This helpline also offers information on treatment options and recovery to the public.

National Association for Adult Children of Alcoholics

National Association for Adult Children of Alcoholics provides resources for anyone who has an alcoholic parent and needs support. It also offers a variety of programs that provide support and assistance to the adult children of alcoholics and other family members.

Sex Addicts Anonymous

Sex Addicts Anonymous offers a message of hope to anyone who suffers from sex addiction. This support group focuses on the Twelve-Step and Twelve-Tradition programs commonly found at Alcoholic Anonymous meetings/support groups.

National Problem Gambling Helpline

National Problem Gambling Helpline provides local resources for those seeking help for a gambling problem. There are 28 available call centers that provide resources and referrals for all 50 states, Canada, and the US Virgin Islands. This helpline is available 24/7 and is 100% confidential. Text and chat services are also available.

The Veterans Crisis Line connects service members and veterans in crisis, along with their families and friends, with qualified, caring advocates, who can provide support and assistance to them. It is confidential and toll-free. Advocates are also available for online chats and texting.
