Shannon Costello
Hey, I’m Shannon! After receiving a B.S. in Exercise & Sport Science, I started my career working in corporate wellness. I was an Exercise Specialist teaching fitness classes, offering personal training, conducting health and fitness assessments, and promoting overall health. During this time, I earned my post-bacc in dietetics, completed my dietetic internship with a concentration in wellness, and grew my passion for culinary nutrition.
With many years in nutrition, including the role as the Corporate Culinary Director for franchise Kitchen Studios, I specialized in culinary entertainment. This job had me developing recipes and specialized menus, as well as teaching hands-on cooking classes to all ages in the community. My expertise helped the company expand into allergy-friendly and health conscious menus to suit all clients. Since then, I have transitioned back into the corporate wellness setting. Now I focus on behavior change, nutrition counseling, exercise programming, and health program development.
My certifications include Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Licensed Dietitian. In addition, I am an ACE Health Coach, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, and ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor.
In my free time, you can find me enjoying the great outdoors hiking, running, and soaking up the sun. I also enjoy self-care days filled with yoga, recipe testing, and hanging out at local coffee shops. However, you won’t find me in the same spot for too long! I’m a go-getter who desires to explore every corner of the world.
